Turn most any lamp into a wireless speaker

I’ve seen lamps with built-in speakers before, but they aren’t usually the type of lamp you’d want in a formal living room.  With The Invisible Speaker from Hammacher Schlemmer, you can add a speaker to most any shaded lamp.  You remove the harp (the metal piece that the shade sits on) from the lamp, then screw the speaker into the lamp’s socket.  The speaker has a harp, so you can screw in a lightbulb and re-install your shade.  (You may want to find a longer shade if too much of the lamp’s hardware shows under the existing shade.)  A 2.4GHz base station connects to your music source – phone, MP3 player, computer, or television – with the audio or component cables – and wirelessly transmits music to the speaker that can be placed up to 200 feet away.  It has a 3″ driver and a 25W amp, and it comes with a remote control.  You can pair up to four speakers with an individual base station, so you can have music throughout the house.  The Invisible Speaker with base station is $199.95; additional speakers are $149.95.
