Zing Anything Aqua Zinger, Citrus Zinger and Salad Zinger review
We all know that to stay hydrated, we should be drinking at least 8 glasses of water a day. The only thing is though, that water is… well… boring. My beverage of choice used to be Diet Coke, but I was able to wean myself off of it by switching over to ice tea. I have 2 flavors of tea that I alternate between, but I would like to add even more variety to my beverages, without adding sugar or artificial flavors. When I was approached by Zing Anything to review their Aqua Zinger, Citrus Zinger and Salad Zinger, I was more than happy to accept the offer. Lets see how they work.

Aqua Zinger
The Aqua Zinger is a 20 oz vacuum insulated, double wall stainless steel bottle with a grinder attached to the bottom. It’s available in 3 colors including blue, green, pink and grey.
The bottle disassembles into 3 main parts. The top cap, which is made of BPA/EA-free Tritan plastics from Eastman and the insulated food grade safe 18/8 stainless steel wide mouth bottle which keeps cold drinks cold and hot drinks hot, without sweating or giving the drink a metallic taste.
The grinder separates into 2 sections. The bottom cup and the lid. Both sections have a set of blades which will grind the ingredients as you screw on the bottle. A fine mesh screen in the lid allows the water to mix with the ground ingredients to infuse flavor, but keeps the pulp in the grinder cup.
Let’s zing some strawberries… First I washed them…
Then I cut off the tops, sliced them into smaller pieces and put them in the grinder cup.
The lid fits in place and the grinder assembly screws onto the bottom of the stainless steel bottle. As the two parts are twisted together, the lid turns, which causes the two sets of blades to grind the contents in the cup.
The next step is to fill with water. The mouth of the bottle is wide enough to accommodate almost any size ice cubes.
The last step is to screw on the top cap and then shake the Aqua Zinger so that the water can mix with the mashed strawberries. At this point you can remove the cap and take a drink, or you can set aside to let things steep.
You can create all sorts of infusions with berries, mint, citrus, cucumbers, ginger, watermelon, peaches, and more. One full grinder cup can provide enough flavor for a refill once you finish the first bottle. The flavors are subtle and mild though. Drinks made with the Zinger will not taste like a sugary soda… But the ground ingredients impose enough flavor to keep you drinking, which is the whole point.
Of the 3 Zingers, this one is my favorite because it doesn’t sweat when you add cold water and ice.
Price: $25.99
Salad Zinger
The Salad Zinger has the same overall design as the Aqua Zinger, but it’s used to make salad dressings, vinaigrettes and flavored oils.
It has a grinder cup and lid where you place ingredients like garlic cloves, onion, herbs and fruits. Just like with the Aqua Zinger, you fill the grinder cup, attach the grinder lid, screw on the main bottle to grind the ingredients. Then the bottle is filled with olive oil, vinegar, salt, pepper etc. Put on the no-drip stopper, give it a good shake and you’re ready to dress a salad, marinade meats, dip bread, etc.
The Salad Zinger bottle holds 12 oz and can be easily cleaned just like the Aqua Zinger.
Price: $24.99
Citrus Zinger
This one is the largest bottle of the trio. It can hold 28 0z. and is available in green, orange or pink.
The Citrus Zinger disassembles into 4 parts. The bottle, cap, reamer and bottom lid.
How about some fresh lemonade? Just wash a lemon and cut it in half.
Attach the reamer to the bottom of the bottle, put the top cap on the bottle (unlike how I am showing it in the image above…oops!), turn the bottle upside down and ream the lemon by pressing it down on the reamer point and twisting it back and forth. As you do that, the lemon juice will flow into the bottle through the slots at the bottom of the reamer, but seeds and pulp will not.
Then you can screw on the bottom lid…
Fill with water and ice, give it a good shake and you’re ready for a refreshing drink.
Of the three Zing Anything bottles, the Citrus Zinger seems to be the least useful to me. Especially if you use these bottles at home instead of on the go. I think it would be just as easy to squeeze a lemon with your hand or use a traditional reamer and then pour the juice into a glass or bottle.
The bottle also sweats when you add cold water and ice.
Price $16.99
The Zing Anything bottles are well designed and well made. They are easy to use, fun to experiment with and easy to clean. They make it easier to quit drinking sugary or diet sodas and they help you use natural ingredients to stay hydrated and create salads.
